Do you want to be greeted with honest joy and excitement when you get home? Then adopt a dog in Cheshire! We have just the best friend you are looking for!
Would an energetic young pup, always dragging you out for walks, be your speed? Or would a mellow, older, wiser dog, curdled up at your feet as you enjoy a good book, be better suited? If you look at our website and read about our residents in the ROLDA shelter, you will find a good girl or boy who will become your new best friend.
Who we are and what we do
We are ROLDA, a Romanian-based shelter that operates as a charity organization. We are self-sufficient and completely reliant on the help and support of animal lovers, and we are superstars of animal rescue in the Southeastern part of the country. More than 16 years ago, we built our first shelter by ourselves, with the funding we collected from good-hearted people. From the first dog we took in, thousands got a chance to live in a shelter or got adopted into someone’s home, as opposed to suffering on the streets. And now you are looking to adopt a dog in Cheshire and give another of our residents the chance to have the happiness they are all looking for.
What to expect if you want to adopt a ROLDA dog in Cheshire
Yes, all our dogs are rescues; by definition, they have all been through some traumatic events. Abandonment itself is unpleasant and traumatic; having to fend for themselves in a world that was not made for them, having to look for food where there is none, having to improvise shelter when there are so many places they are constantly being kicked out of. Before we got them, our dogs had a very hard life, a scarring life. So, we guess you are wondering whether this shows. Yes, it does in some cases.
When you decide to adopt a dog in Cheshire, if you pick one of ours, you pick a dog that has already undergone several rehabilitation steps. We are talking about medical care, a corresponding diet, a long time of not looking for food and shelter, some peace, and some experienced caregivers to nurture them back into a state where they can trust people again.
Then, there are the cases where they get stuck along the way. Either their physical wounds are too severe, or their fear is too deep; some of our dogs need more rehabilitation, more work, and sometimes, just the professional care of our staff. Even if you are confident enough to love such a dog, our experts would advise you against moving them and placing them in a family. It all depends on the rehabilitation potential of each case, but there are situations where, unfortunately, we need to take on full responsibility for some animals forever.
If you still wish to adopt a dog in Cheshire and would not mind the challenge, there are always those residents who are not yet fully rehabilitated but could one day be made better with the love and care of a family in a real home. You can find these cases in our rescue stories, and you will get the full information on each situation.
Otherwise, most dogs in our care—we have over 700 residents in the ROLDA shelter—are resilient. Whatever they have been through is forgotten once our rescue team gives them a bowl of food and our veterinary collaborators do their gentle checkups. All that is left for them to do is be a good boy or a good girl, look nice in pictures, and hope you pick them when you want to adopt a dog in Cheshire.

What a wonderful thing to do for another soul! Well done, you, for deciding to adopt a dog in Ayrshire! Did you know that with each successful international adoption, we bring an extensive process of rescuing dogs to fruition? And you are the one who is making all of this possible! Please keep reading to learn more about this amazing team effort and how your decision is changing lives.
We are ROLDA, an animal rescue in Southeastern Romania dedicated to saving animals and giving them a real shot at a decent life. The effort involved in getting each dog off the street is huge, especially considering we do not receive government funding. Our entire operation is funded by sponsorships and individual donations.
Our shelter is an amazing option for our furry residents, as we provide nutritious food catered to each dog’s needs: special puppy food for young dogs, diet food for dogs recovering from various diseases or injuries, and special food for our elderly residents. And, of course, all receive shelter, medical care, and all the love and care we can spare. We house 700 dogs year-round, so as much as we want to give special attention to each resident, it isn’t easy. But when you adopt a dog in Ayrshire, we know that at least one of our rescued doggies will get that special love and attention they deserve all day long and that we are now able to rescue another stray and give them the same chance to find a forever home.
International adoptions have been very important because Romania is still in the beginning stages of fighting abandonment. Although people want to adopt dogs from shelters instead of buying them, we still need more help. The number of animals being abandoned is constantly higher than the number of animals being adopted. So, it’s a blessing that you decided to adopt a dog in Ayrshire from ROLDA.
The fact that you’re choosing a dog from a place so far away should not be seen as an obstacle. We can help with all the information you need about your chosen dog. We cannot know what happened before he got to our shelter. Still, we can tell you the condition he was in when we found him, his whereabouts, the conclusions our staff and our medical collaborators drew, what we did for him, and what still needs to be done in case the rehabilitation process is not complete. Also, note that when you adopt a dog in Ayrshire from ROLDA, we will be very transparent about the situation and the long-term needs of our dogs.
If you need extra information on our pups, like how they react and behave in specific situations, our rescue team will gladly help. Also, we have international colleagues who can answer many of your questions regarding the logistics of the adoption, and they might even pay a visit to see where the dog will be living. These are also the people you will be in contact with once you

When you decide to adopt a dog in Cardiff and pick one of the residents of the ROLDA shelter, you opt to complete the rescue process and give the greatest gift of all to one of our poor pups who are eager to be someone’s pet, have a home, and have a family of their own. International adoptions are the cherry on top of our effort to get as many dogs as possible off the streets and into the homes and hearts of people who deserve such love and companionship.
Tell you more about our dogs? Our pleasure!
More than 700 dogs are living in our ROLDA shelter in Southeast Romania. For some of them, our shelter will be their forever home, as they are too traumatized to accept leaving our care and too scared of people to willingly go into someone’s home and be exposed to a lot of people and even other animals. We know this sounds harsh, but we are being realistic. Therefore, when you are looking to adopt a dog in Cardiff, you know as much as we do about each dog and whether he will be a good addition to your family.
Some international adopters know the trauma these animals experienced before their rescue and know what to expect from this relationship. They know that it takes some time for such dogs to feel at ease and at home, no matter how welcoming you mean to be. Some of these experienced adopters even feel confident enough to take on a challenging case and try to continue their rehabilitation process in the best environment possible for any animal: in their own safe home, surrounded by a loving family. But is this the case when you want to adopt a dog in Cardiff? Not necessarily.
When looking to welcome a rescue into your home, the first thing is to see what you can offer as a responsible dog owner. If you have had dogs before and have experience working with rescues in need of rehabilitation, then, by all means, pick some of our most demanding dogs. They are just as deserving of love!
However, don’t go for the most challenging cases if this is your first time owning a dog, caring for a dog, sharing a living space, and spending time with a dog. Not even if their stories break your heart! Our international adoption program’s main purpose is to ensure we can find homes for our dogs to fight abandonment. To do so, we need to ensure that you can make good on your word to take care of our rescue when you wish to adopt a dog in Cardiff.
Among our 700 residents, you will most likely find a good boy or good girl who is just the right size and has a matching personality. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and think about the type of dog you wish to find when looking for your new best friend. At ROLDA, we know our rescues so well. Maybe it’s the bond that comes from giving them a second chance at life, our dedication to these animals, and our commitment to making real change for them. But we know each one of them (yes, we know the personalities of 700 dogs), and we know they would make great companions to certain types of people.
So, adopt a dog in Cardiff in full confidence and let us know how we can help!

Good for you! Looking to adopt a dog in Bristol and picking an international shelter with lower chances of finding homes for their pups is wonderful and kind! Know that you have all our appreciation and respect! Now, let’s give you some information on our work and why you chose the right place to come and find your next best friend.
We are ROLDA, a Romanian animal rescue organization that manages two shelters in Galati County—the facilities we built solely from donations house around 700 dogs. Every aspect of our operation is run with money from donations and sponsorships, and veterinarians agree to help out without having to pay the bills upfront. Some do volunteer work, others forfeit the payment altogether, while others accept to wait until we can pay. You can understand how important the correct management of resources is and why the fact that you are looking to adopt a dog in Bristol is a big deal for us
Find your furry friend
You can start looking for your new furry friend on our website. Based on the type of accommodation you can provide, you may already know how large or small your new best friend will be. A smaller dog would be best if you live in an apartment. If you live in a house and have access to a yard, your new friend could have a place to move around, run, and play, making it the perfect place to house a larger dog. Then, you need to think about the personality of the dog. Some dogs are more energetic, being a good fit for people with an active way of life or for people who want to be more active, while others are mellow and a better match for other types of people looking to adopt a dog in Bristol.
However, regardless of the personality of your future friend, all dogs need regular walks and exercise. So, before you take this next step, know that you will have to do these things for your dog, even when you feel tired or not in the mood. A necessity is a necessity, and taking them for a walk is just that for dogs. Wanting to adopt a dog in Bristol comes with a significant commitment and responsibility for your new pet for the rest of his life.
It’s a match!
Personality is very important when making such a decision. So, how can you know from pictures whether the dog you find so cute is the right match for you? We can help. Contact us, and we will give you more information about our pups. We can even give you videos of how they react in various situations, like seeing the shelter staff they are accustomed to versus someone new, how they behave with other dogs, and how territorial or friendly they are.
Also, since we know you know that our dogs are saved from the streets and have been through traumatic experiences, you are encouraged to express any concern and ask all the questions before you decide to adopt a dog in Bristol. As part of the rehabilitation process, the dogs arriving at our shelter get medical check-ups and are examined by dog trainers who assess how suited they are for adoption and living in a home with a large family or children or in a loud and busy environment. There are cases when some of the digs we save do not get the green light, are too scared of men, react poorly to loud noises, get defensive when they see other dogs, and so on. But you will be given these details so that your decision is well-informed.
In the past, we have had people adopt a dog in Bristol and work through the trauma with their new pets. But everybody knows the type of commitment they can sign up for, and we appreciate all those who reach out and want to be a loving family for these poor animals.

Are you getting ready to make an important decision, like choosing our shelter to adopt a dog in Brighton? Wonderful! We are here to provide all the information you need on the matter. Just look at our beautiful, rescued dogs, read their stories – be sure to keep some tissues at hand – and pick the one who feels most like he belongs in your family. We have prepared a list of tips to help you along the process. Tell us if there is anything we did not include, and we’ll gladly fill in the gaps.
How to adopt a dog in Brighton from our ROLDA shelter?
1. Compatibility does matter
We don’t recommend adopting a rescue dog if you think their background story will emotionally affect you. These dogs have such sad stories that some people cannot cope with the pain. We understand you want to take them home and shower them with hugs and kisses, but please remember that you are offering this dog your home, family, and love for the rest of their life. So, make sure when adopting a dog in Brighton that you pick one you would get along with.
We are talking about size, personality, type of fur, anything. Don’t just expect to cope with whatever you consider slightly problematic. If you cannot handle the exercise needs of a more energetic dog or do not have enough room for a larger dog, it would be harder for the dog to be returned to us, a situation we want to avoid at all costs.
2. Understand what is involved
We would love nothing more than to know that every one of our rescued dogs has an equal shot at finding a forever home. But even getting them through transportation is problematic for our oldest and sickest residents. The second issue is having people take on the burden of caring for animals with special needs. To this end, we are very transparent, and we make sure that when you decide to adopt a dog in Brighton, you know all that is required of you when caring for the dog you choose.
We don’t want to discourage people from adopting dogs with medical problems or who are considerably old; we just need to ensure they know exactly what they are signing up for when they want to adopt a dog in Brighton.
3. Ask for help
You are not in this alone! You have decided to do a wonderful thing for a beautiful soul, and we will give you all our help and support. Our Romanian rescue team works with Western European people who make international adoptions possible. We will give you all the information on the dog directly from the shelter, even periodic updates on how he is doing and how the preparations for the transportation are going. Our colleagues will help with logistics, documentation, and even help after you adopt a dog in Brighton. They can visit and ensure that the dog is doing well, that you can handle the situation, and that all is fine and heading in the right direction.
If you choose a dog from ROLDA, don’t hesitate to reach out for anything. Our greatest desire is to ensure we find homes for our dogs, and nothing is more important than this final step in their rescue.

What are you expecting by adopting a dog in Cornwall? Are you looking for a cute dog, a loyal companion, a workout or running buddy, or someone who can keep intruders away from your home? Whatever it is, we know you will find it in our shelter. We are ROLDA and currently care for over 700 dogs we rescued from the streets in Galati County, Romania. These dogs are resilient, loyal to a fault, absolutely adorable, and will be the best companions you could ever want.
Don’t be shy about expressing your expectations from this relationship. We want you to get along and form a bond that nothing can break. For this, you must be compatible with the dog you will welcome in your home. And, yes, we know you have a big heart – which is why you are looking to adopt a dog in Cornwall – but don’t pick any dog or the one with the saddest story. While many of our pups would be great companions, we still believe some matches are better than others.
Another reason why we insist on you prioritizing compatibility when looking to adopt a dog in Cornwall is that we want to reduce the chances of you not being able to bond with the dog and having second thoughts about the whole thing. While it may not be the end of the world for you or us, it might feel like that for a dog whose greatest woe was having been abandoned in the first place. So, let’s reduce the chance of that happening all the way down to zero.
We know opening our website and choosing one dog over another is difficult. We even understand the temptation to want to take them all home. All of us working here at ROLDA have felt the same thing. The only difference is that, instead of taking them all home, we almost moved into the shelter to be closer to them all the time. But this is not an option for you, so let’s stick to the reality that you are looking to adopt a dog in Cornwall and have to pick one of them.
How to pick your dog?
We care for over 700 dogs. So, before you start looking at pictures and become completely stuck, make a mental picture of the dog that would best fit your life at this moment.
• Do you have a lot of space, a yard, or a park nearby where a bigger dog could get the necessary workout?
• Do you have time to take your dog out for at least two to three walks around the block? A more energetic dog might need that.
• Where will your new friend sleep?
• How pet-friendly is your city? Can you take any dog anywhere?
• Would you have an easier time handling a smaller dog?
• Can you take care of an animal with medical problems? Can you administer medicine, afford medical checkups, and provide proper care?
• What type of job do you have? Would your dog be alone at home most of the day? This would be harder on a younger dog.
Now, with these ideas in mind, you can start looking at pictures of our dogs. One of two things will happen.
1. You will find EXACTLY the type of dog in your description.
2. You will fall in love with a completely different dog, and no other dog will ever do.
Both cases are perfectly acceptable when looking to adopt a dog in Cornwall. First, we know it was a rational match, and second, we know you are lovestruck and will accept nothing less.

So, you wish to adopt a dog in Aberdeen and wonder whether international adoptions are good. Yes, they are. They are the main thing keeping us going, as this option has opened up a new world of possibilities for us and our dogs.
We are ROLDA, a Romanian rescue team fighting for the lives of abandoned animals. We have built two shelters in Galati County, where we house and care for 700 dogs. In 15+ years of activity, we have saved thousands of dogs and found homes for most of them. We get them off the streets, get them checked out, vaccinate and treat them, work with them in case they need some help trusting people once again, and we even teach them to be good dogs when out on a walk, all so that you can adopt a dog in Aberdeen and choose him from among our pups!
For dogs whose traumas were too severe or have left them with permanent medical issues, or for the ones who are too old to be adopted, our shelters have become their forever homes. This means that these poor dogs, although they might never run again, or they might never in their lives enjoy the comfort of a domestic home and know the love of a family, can still live out the rest of their lives in a safe space, away from speeding cars, ill-intentioned people, extreme cold or heat, starvation, and thirst. Is this as good as being picked by someone looking to adopt a dog in Aberdeen and give him a loving home? No, but it’s better than being alone on the streets without any support.
International adoptions are vital for ROLDA
At ROLDA, we are committed to saving animals, and each case is a journey we undertake with great care. While our facilities provide a safe haven for some, our ultimate goal is to find loving homes for all. Your decision to adopt a dog in Aberdeen is not just a personal choice, it’s a significant contribution to our mission, making a real difference in the lives of these animals.
The process is not complicated, as we have the help of the international ROLDA team to handle things. Everything will be easily taken care of, from documents to transportation logistics. On your end, you need to show that you can provide your new best friend with a safe place to eat and sleep, that you have the time to spend with him during your accommodation period, that you can walk him daily and provide the right amount of exercise, including playtime. On our end, we need to ensure that, should you encounter any problems along the way, you will contact our ROLDA colleagues for help.
Wanting to adopt a dog in Aberdeen comes with great responsibilities, and we hope that your home will be the final one for our little dogs. Some of them have had a home in the past but were abandoned. The last thing we’d want is to put them through all that again, only for them to end up back in our shelter. So, while we deeply appreciate your desire to help and welcome the possibility of finding as many homes as possible for our pups, we also need to ensure this is permanent for everyone involved.
Abandonment and abuse, backed by a careless attitude on behalf of the government officials who should be dealing with these issues, are the main reasons why we have our hands full at ROLDA and why we rely so much on international adoptions to find homes and people who will expand the community. Thank you for your intention to adopt a dog in Aberdeen; we hope you find your furry friend in our shelter!

International adoptions are a way for people to help animals with some of the lowest chances of ever having their own home and family. How does this work? We rescue them from the streets, shelter them, take plenty of pretty pictures, and write down all the information so that you can make an informed decision when you check out our website if you are looking to adopt a dog in Belfast.
Every step in the rescue process is crucial, but the final one, the adoption, is a moment of pure joy. It’s the moment when each furry friend finds their forever family, the people who will shower them with love and care. We all look forward to this moment, as it fills our hearts with hope and excitement.
How to adopt a dog a in Belfast?
Need help? No problem. We can walk you through the process easily. You browse our website until you find the little guy who will stick to your heart. It’s a difficult task, we know. We could never choose or pick just one of our rescued dogs. They are amazing, and we love them all! But we know that one in particular will most likely be your best match and that you will know the second you see him.
When you want to adopt a dog in Belfast, you know best what type of dog you can care for. You know the size of your home and whether it would be suited for a small or large dog. You know whether or not you have a yard where an energetic dog could run around or how often you can walk him.
Whether you choose by size or personality, we are ready to help. Once you find a match and are ready to adopt a dog in Belfast, feel free to ask as many questions as possible. We will give you all our information on the pup, with the obvious limitation that we can only know what has happened since he came to us and can only guess where he was before. But we will give you a detailed report on what we did for him, what he needed in terms of rehabilitation, and an assessment of how he will do in a family home.
Whenever someone decides to adopt a dog in Belfast and picks our shelter, we want to help that person make the right choice for him and our rescue. This ensures that we reduce the risk of further dog abandonment to zero. We know you mean well and are looking for a companion, but we also want to be sure that you two are the right match.
Accommodation and support
In our international adoption process, our international partners play a crucial role. They assist with country-specific documentation and the logistics of transporting the dog. Their support is also available if you adopt a dog with behavior issues that need to be managed during the transition. Some dogs require the stability and love of a family to fully recover, and we’ve witnessed many such heartwarming transformations. Remember, you’re not alone in your journey to adopt a dog in Belfast. We’re here to provide the support you need.

Wanting to adopt a dog in Birmingham is no easy job. We know you are looking for your new best friend, so we will do all we can to help you find him. Who are we? We are an animal rescue team from Galati County, Romania, who have saved the lives of thousands of dogs until now and plan to keep doing so as long as possible.
A few words about us
We are ROLDA, and the reason we have been so proficient in saving the lives of so many dogs is also due to our location. Galati County is also home to a huge industrial platform that has been abandoned for many years. We are talking about acres of cement with abandoned and decaying buildings, a sort of no-man’s land that served as a breeding ground for the abandoned dogs. As you know, up until the 90s, Romania had had a huge stray dog problem, and places like these only fueled the existing situation.
We started small, saving one or two dogs; as more people joined the fight, we gathered funds to open a legitimate shelter, which we built entirely from donations. Today, you can adopt a dog in Birmingham and pick from one of our 700 rescued dogs housed in the two shelters ROLDA has built and has been administering for the past 15+ years.
Why would it be difficult to adopt a dog in Birmingham?
There are so many dogs in our care who would be the best dogs to a good, loving owner, and we could never pick. But it would be best to adopt a dog in Birmingham according to your criteria and resources. Most of our dogs are low maintenance and have no pedigree requirements you must keep up with. But even with the easiest dog, you must still be consistent in the type of care you provide. You must ensure you can welcome your new friend into your home, provide them with food, water, and a warm and comfy bed to sleep in, and make time for daily walks and periodic check-ups with the vet.
So, after you ensure you can check these off the list of necessities before you sign on to take in one of our dear dogs, you can start the most exciting (and difficult) task: looking at our dogs, reading their stories, and then only picking one. Sure, if you have the resources to take on the responsibility of more than one dog, we would be so happy—just saying! But we are very happy you will adopt a dog in Birmingham and chose us as a rescue center.
Your new best friend is in our care!
We have over 700 dogs at the ROLDA shelters, some large, some small, some playful, some mellow, some very young, some more seasoned. Find out everything you need to know about each of them. If you cannot make up your mind based on the information on our website, reach out to our ROLDA staff, who will be more than happy to help. We can send videos of the dogs, revealing their true personalities and showing how they interact with us and our staff.
And don’t worry. We know how difficult it is for people to take on such responsibility. A young, happy, healthy dog is still a lot of work for anyone looking to adopt a dog in Birmingham. So, what happens to the old and sick dogs? Well, as soon as you choose your new best friend, we can relocate more of our limited resources to provide long-term care to these dogs. We are aware that their chances of getting adopted are fewer than in the case of other dogs. But you can still help by picking another dog from our shelter, one with no reason to spend the rest of his life with us when he could make a family looking to adopt a dog in Birmingham so happy.

Adopt a dog in Newcastle and help our rescue team in Romania—this is how the network of international good deeds works. Keep reading to learn how to join the movement and make a new best friend. It’s an amazing way to do so much good with one gesture!
We foster over 700 dogs in two shelters we built in Romania. The dogs are brought to us or rescued from the streets. Some are abandoned as puppies, others are abused or hit by cars, and some are old and have difficulty surviving as strays. ROLDA has cared for thousands of dogs since opening our shelters 16 years ago. How do we manage such large numbers? With the help of people like you who adopt a dog in Newcastle because once a dog leaves our shelter to move into their forever home, they allow another dog to be given the same wonderful opportunity.
Are all your dogs available for adoption?
Our rescue team handles everything from rescuing the dogs to providing extra care and consideration to giving each animal the medical attention they need. Even dogs that seem healthy get a full check-up, prevention medicine, vaccines, and professional grooming. Once the dogs are healthy, we start a rehabilitation and training process. Our dogs are socialized, walked, trained by experts, and invigorated to become wonderful companions ready to be adopted in Newcastle.
Dogs who need additional medical care remain in the veterinary clinic until our team is equipped to take on the medical responsibilities at our shelters. Throughout the years, we have had people with the right resources adopt dogs who are very old, sick, or injured, but these are exceptional cases that would be challenging for anyone. If you cannot take on such responsibilities when looking to adopt a dog in Newcastle, it’s ok because our shelters can be their forever home.
We have rescued many unique dogs who are in good health and eager to be adopted. Each one has their own story and personality, waiting for the right family to give them a chance to be part of their lives. We encourage you to consider one of them as a potential addition to your family.
How important is a dog’s size and personality?
Apart from a dog’s size, which is important because it can indicate the type of accommodation you can provide, a dog’s personality is the main trait you should look for when you want to adopt a dog in Newcastle. One of the things that always impresses us when it comes to our dogs is their resilience. Despite the abuse, hunger, thirst, fear, and overall trauma they have endured, they have not lost their desire to be in a home with loving people. Their undying trust in humans, despite their own experience, is a testament to their spirit and is truly heartwarming.
So, how do you know what type of personality a ROLDA dog has? We are always more than happy to provide videos of how each dog behaves to help you make an informed choice. We want to ensure you can offer our rescue the right home and not feel overwhelmed or like you’ve selected a poor match. Animals suffer when they are abandoned and the last thing we want is for one of our rescues to be abandoned again, so we put in as much effort to rehome our dogs as we do to rescue and rehabilitate them because we don’t want them to suffer again.
If you are ready to adopt a dog in Newcastle, our adoption process is designed to ensure that you and your dog are a perfect match. We will guide you through every step, from the initial application to the final adoption, to make sure that you and your new companion are happy together.
